Club Umpiring – Week 1

*UPDATED* As no person has yet volunteered, the following teams must supply umpires for the listed games:

  • A member of the University Alumni team is required to umpire the Harewood v. University game on Sunday.
  • A member of the University Knights team is required to umpire the Hinemoa-Kaiapoi v . University game on Tuesday.

As some of you may recall, this season we are introducing a volunteer component to our club umpiring. To kick this off, we have been allocated two (2) games for the first week of senior competition:

  • Harewood 2 |v.| University Dukes
    Sunday, 3rd April
    10:20am     Nunweek Park #1
  • University Women |v.| Hinemoa-Kaiapoi
    Tuesday, 5th April
    7:20pm     Nunweek Park #2

Anybody who would like to umpire one of these matches should email their name and cellphone number to umpiring@uchockey.co.nz by 10:00pm, Thursday 31st March.
At this time we would prefer umpires with (at least some) practical experience, as mentoring services are not yet fully available via the club or CHA, nor has the club’s umpiring course/rules forum been held.
