Canterbury Super Six Tournament

The Canterbury Super Six Competition is considered part of the pre-season for a number of senior and youth teams, providing an opportunity to play hockey on a weekly basis and develop fitness and combinations prior to the commencement of the eleven-a-side Senior & Youth Competitions in late March/early April.  As the name suggests the matches are six-a-side, with standard six-a-side rules applying, including the use of side boards and the ability to score from outside of the circle.

The UC Hockey Club enters a team or teams made up of Premier Men’s Players each year as preparation for the main season.

Summer Hockey Social Tournament

Summer Social Hockey provides the opportunity for people to make the most of sunny afternoons and evenings and enjoy a game of hockey with friends and colleagues.  Catering for all age groups with primary school, intermediate school and open grades, Summer Social Hockey is an ideal activity for a team of school friends or business colleagues wanting to enjoy some social fun out of the office.

Summer Social Hockey operates in two distinct time frames – end of year (October to November) and start of year (February to March) – for a block of six weeks. The UC Hockey Club enters as many teams as required to fulfill demand from our members.
